State-Level Digital Infrastructure
WTL is driving West Bengal's digital transformation through comprehensive e-Governance infrastructure, state-of-the-art data centres, and citizen-centric service delivery platforms.
WTL's e-Governance Infrastructure Portfolio
Webel Technology Limited (WTL) is the State Nodal Agency (SNA) and State Implementation Agency (SIA) for implementation of all Digital India / NeGP initiatives in West Bengal, under the Information Technology & Electronics Department, Govt. of West Bengal.
WTL spearheads the State's backbone infrastructure — the State Data Centre, State Wide Area Network, and e-District platform — enabling reliable, scalable, and citizen-centric digital governance across all 23 districts.
West Bengal State Data Centre (WBSDC)
Shared, reliable, and secure infrastructure for hosting and managing e-Governance applications. Developed under the Mission Mode Project of NeGP / Digital India and subsequently revamped using State Funds, WBSDC is the key-supporting element for delivering government services to citizens with greater reliability, availability, and serviceability.
Situated at a prime location within Kolkata, WBSDC is built upon a floor area of 12,000+ sq ft and complies with Tier III+ (TIA 942) standards — guaranteeing 99.749% service availability. It holds both ISO/IEC 20000:2011 (IT Service Management) and ISO/IEC 27001 (Information Security) certifications.
